Wool at the core
Wool is an incredibly versatile fibre and in many cases outperform synthetic alternatives.
We have taken nature’s fibre and converted it to a technical, high performing electrostatic filter media product. By using wool fibre, we are employing a bio-based natural ingredient that gives a range of benefits tied to its intrinsic properties.
Electrostatic
Lanaco has utilised and enhanced the properties of wool to create EcoStatic®, an electrostatic filter. Positive and negative charges on the surface of the fibres effectively attract and retain particulate matter.
Ultra-Low Air Resistance
Due to the fibre structure of wool, air can easily pass through EcoStatic® and Alpuro® filter media with high air permeability and low pressure drop.
Hydrophobic Surface
Wool is naturally tolerant to moisture. This allows our EcoStatic® and Alpuro® range to prevent water building up and clogging the filter media.
Fire Resistance
Wool is naturally fire retardant. Some of our EcoStatic® and Alpuro® range have strong spark arrestance and fire resistance credentials.
High Dust Holding Capacity
The porous structure of non-woven wool allows dust to be captured by EcoStatic® and Alpuro™ and accumulate whilst allowing air to continue to flow through.
R&D Capabilities
Lanaco is able to design filter media and test using in-house and external equipment.
Lanaco can design bespoke filter media and test it using our in-house and external equipment to meet customer needs.
Bespoke solutions
Lanaco can provide bespoke, tailor-made filtration solutions for our customers. Our R&D engineers work with you to create innovative and reliable solutions that meet specific requirements.
Filter testing
Lanaco has its own filter testing machine on site that can test a range of filter media variables. We offer a range of mechanical and physical testing.
Environmental testing
Lanaco is able to test filter media at accelerated temperature and humidity to simulate long-term shelf-life stability and indicative biodegradability.
Product Processability
Our product ranges are highly versatile for filter media conversion.
Lanaco EcoStatic® filter media is suitable for a number of filter manufacturing and conversion techniques from rollstock, including pleating and ultrasonically welding.
Pleatable
Our EcoStatic® filter media E-series range is pleatable to different angles, heights and pitches and suitable for a number of applications.
Thermoformable
Our EcoStatic® filter media range is thermoformable and ultrasonically weldable, allowing bonding of materials without binders or mechanical damage.
